Exhibition Vanishing Point – Ilkka Suppanen
29 October – 26 November 2017
An exploration of the fragile and of transformation through glass sculptures made in Murano. Both evanescent and architectural, Suppanen’s works evoke the moment when water condenses, freezes or melts, tracing these different phases like fossils. An unprecedented dialogue between Aalto’s modernist architecture and Suppanen’s contemporary design is also proposed through architectural works such as Porcupine (2006) and Stick Chair (2017) whose vanishing point of perspective is their respective design.
